Firearm definition
Anything from which a shot, bullet, missile or other projectile can be discharged by force of explosive and anything adapted to discharge S,B,M or other projectile by force of explosive.
Any dismatled or partially dismatled firearm. Any especially dangerous airgun.
Definition of pistol
Anything designed or adapted to be held and fired from 1 hand and any firearm under 762mm
Duration of firearms licence
10years unless revoked, surrenderd or previously not held licence. In thoes cases 5 years
Categories
- A full licence for conventional firearms.
- b pistols. Owner must be pistol club member.
- c collector for restricted or thestrical performance.
- d dealers licence.
Law reguarding possession and purchase of airgun and firearms.
- under 16 can not possess but can use with immediate supervision.
- 16 to under 18 requires firarms licence. Need parental permission for licence.
- 18 and over requires licence for firearms but not airgun
Duties of licence holder
- keep licence legible and undamaged
- produce on demand
- produce in 7 days if not in possession
- notify address change im 30 days
- report theft loss or dedtruction in writing to police
- report death or injury as soon as practicable.
66b power to demand details
If in possession of firearm, airgun, pistol, prohibited magazine or restricted weapon. Must give name, address and DOB.
If refuse. Must caution and then arrest.
Search and surveillance act 2012. Section 18
Of RGS carrying ,in possession or control of arms and

-incapable because of mental or physical
-may injure or kill because of mental or physical.

May search and seize on place, vehicle or thing
Possession in relation to fire arms
Knowledge of it and physical control. Can be in different place.
Presumption of possession 66b Arms Act 1983
Owner/occupier of land or driver of vehicle presumed in possession unless they prove it is not theirs.
