Arm positions Flashcards
First
The hands are in fists and placed on the hips with the elbows pointing to the sides. The wrists should be straight and the back of the hands facing forwards.
Second
One arm is place as in first position and the other is raised to the side with the arm and wrist slightly curved. The hand is slightly above and forward of the headline and the palms are facing inwards.
Third
Both arms are raised as in second position with Both palms facing inwards
Fourth
A closer and higher form of third position with the hands almost touching.
Fifth
The arms are gently curved down in front of the body with the hands quite close to each other and the little fingers almost touching the kilt.

In all positions of the arms except first position, the fingers are lightly grouped and the thumb is in contact with the first joint of the middle finger.
