Compression in axilla from crutches
Radial nerve
Fracture of surgical neck of humerus, dislocation of humerus or IM injection.
Axillary nerve and anterior and posterior circumflex arteries (from Axillary artery).
Midshaft fracture of humerus.
Radial nerve and deep brachial artery.
Subluxation of radius
Radial nerve deep branch
supracondylar fracture of humerus
Median nerve (thenar flattening) and brachial artery.
Fracture of the medial epicondyle of humerus
Ulnar nerve
Carpal tunnel syndrome or dislocated lunate
Median nerve
Fracture of hook of hamate
Ulnar nerve
Compression by cervical rib or pancoast tumor or sudden upward pull on arm.
Lower trunk (median and ulnar)
Entrapment at Guyon’s canal
Ulnar nerve –> no addiction/abduction of digits, extending little finger.
Cubical tunnel syndrome
Compression of the ulnar nerve usually at the medial elbow.
