Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Brachioradialis. Flexes forearm at the elbow, especially when forearm is in midprone position. Radial nerve. Starts in posterior compartment, but acts in anterior compartment.
Name the muscle, compartment, action, and innervation.
Extensor carpi radialis longus. Superficial posterior/extensor compartment of forearm. Action is to extend and abduct the hand. Radial nerve innervation.
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Pronator teres. Pronates hand, flexes forearm. Median nerve. Anterior/flexor compartment.
Name the muscle, compartment, innervation, action.
Extensor carpi radialis brevis. Superficial posterior/extensor compartment of the forearm. Action is to extend and abduct the hand. Posterior interosseous nerve innervation (deep motor branch of the radial nerve).
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Supinator. Supinates the forearm. Deep branch of radial nerve. Superficial posterior compartment.
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Extensor carpi ulnaris. Superficial posterior/extensor compartment of forearm. Action is to extend and adduct the hand. Innervated by the posterior interosseous nerve (deep motor branch of the radial nerve).
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Flexor carpi radialis. Flexes hand, aids in pronation and abduction of hand. Median nerve. Anterior/flexor compartment.
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Extensor digitorum. Superficial posterior/extensor compartment of the forearm. Action is to extend the fingers. Innervated by the posterior interosseous nerve (deep motor branch of the radial nerve).
Name the muscle, action, innervation, and compartment.
Palmaris longus. Flexes hand and wrinkles skin of palm. Median nerve. Anterior/flexor compartment.
Absent in 14% of people (he might have said 10% in class)
