primary→ does not depend on other things to exist, can exist on its own (Casey)
secondary → belongs to a group (women)
the essence that persists through the change (80 year old women still recognizable from 70 years ago– what is recognizable is unchaining)

a determination which characterizes the nature of an object.
i.e. (white or grammatical)
relative
This is the way in which one object may be related to another.
i.e. size… bigger duck
where
i.e. duck is on the chair
when
Position in relation to the course of events.
having
i.e. has a handle, has a beak
doing
i.e. being hugged, holding stuffing
being affected
i.e. by the sun, by aging, by tearing… by getting wet
being in a position
sitting down, hugging someone, toppled over, cramped, under pressure of object or creature

material cause

an account of what the being would be (i.e. shape of mug)
efficient cause
that which makes something of that which is made (i.e. molder of clay)
