The characteristic activity of a being
What’s the function of humans?
A human’s function is rational agency because they’re smarter than everything else
What is rational agency?
What it means to live well; acting virtuous in any situation that confronts you
What is virtue as a mean between excess and deficiency?
For any situation we’re confronted with, we have a range of reactions available to us, some are overblown and some are under blown, virtue as a mean means its a midpoint between overreaction and underreaction

Cultivating a habit, you should practice virtuous habits

What is a voluntary action?
Actions where the motivation is internal to us, we chose to perform that action, involves requisite knowledge or done in ignorance
What’s an involuntary action?
Actions we’re not morally responsible for, caused by external force, or in the result of ignorance

Lifting a pin up and down, going to class

Drinking poison because someone told you it was something else

Putting yourself in a situation where your decision making is going to be effected
