The material cause

The efficient cause
The cause of an object.
The formal cause
What gives the matter it’s form or structure
The final cause
The reason why something is the way it is.
Teleology/telos
The end or purpose of something or it’s function
The prime mover/unmoved mover characteristics
Transcendent, eternal, perfection, metaphysical, leader, pure in thought, unchangeable and necessary
Who is the Prime Mover/unmoved Mover?
The cause of all movement
Why does Aristotle disagree with Plato?
He rejected the view that there is a World of Forms. He thought that ideas on their own have no meaning but have to relate to actual things.
Monism
The view that a person has 2 distinct parts but they are entwined together. The body and soul are United but once the body dies the soul also dies. This is aristotles view.
