On June 10 1788 soldiers came to banish the magistrates from the parlement of Grenoble
The people of Grenoble supported their parliament and stood on rooftops and threw tiles down at the soldiers.
orders not to shoot but they disobeyed killing two people
Governor’s house was looted and magistrates continued to operate

At the time of the estates general (may 1789) the 400,000 Livres left in the treasury which could let the country function for at least 1 day
By the time 1775 spending way more then the country was earning by 50m
1788 spending was at a all time high with an increase of 200m spending money they didn’t have
