Azure Regions
A region is a geographical area on the plant that contains at least one but potentially multiple datacenters that are nearby and networked together with a low latency network.
Azure auto assigns and controls the resources within the region to ensure balanced workload.
Azure Availability Zone
Physically separate datacenters within an Azure region

Azure services that support availability zones fall into two categories:
- Zonal services
- Zone-redundant services
Region Pair
Each azure region is paried with another region within the same geography at least 300 miles away.
If one of the pair is affected, the services auto fail over to the other.
Resource
A manageable item thats available through Azure VMs, storage accounts, web apps, databases, and virtual networks (as some examples)
Resource Group
A folder structure in Azure in which you organize resources like database, VMs, ect.
You deploy, updated and delete them together.
Each resource can exist in ONLY ___ resource group.

Billing Boundary
Determines how an Azure account is billed for using Azure.

Azure applies access-management policies at the subscription level, and you can create separate subscriptions to reflect different organizational structure.
