A
  • born under unusual circumstances
  • is the son/daughter of a king or god
  • marked for greatness
  • must prove royal claim by test or trial

Types of hero

A

Primitive - often slays monsters

Warrior - fights for a cause or personal glory

Unwilling - full of doubts, needs to be motivated

Anti-hero - may be outlaw, villain, rebel

Tragic - flawed, never overcomes inner demons

A
