niche use cases
what is niche use case in software development
Niche software is a type of software designed to serve the needs of a specific user group or industry. It is tailored to the needs of a particular market or user group, as opposed to general-purpose software designed to be used by a wide variety of users.
How do developers and businesses choose a type of AR?
here are many considerations to keep in mind, but first, start with your end goal in mind.
What are questions to help you determine your goal?
Why does the business want to use AR?
What does the business want to achieve?
Who is the target audience for the experience?
What’s the next step?
Next, you should weigh the pros and cons of the different types of AR. If a certain capability is wanted by the clients based on the business objective but it’s not available in a type of AR, you won’t be able to use that and will be forced to go with a different AR platform that supports the specific capability.
What is important for a developer
once you know your goal and what type of AR you will choose to create your experience, the focus should then turn to your users. As a developer, it’s important to keep in mind the users and their experiences within what you’ll be creating. Make sure to know what the users value and if they will be facing any barriers. It’s important to know what devices your users have access to: Will they be using iPhones? Androids? Older or newer models?
Some additional questions to consider about your users when choosing a type of AR are:
Are your users ready to adopt and try a new technology?
What kind of bandwidth and cellular network are they on?
Do the users have access to wifi?
How can you help them achieve the goal of the company through AR?
Have they had AR experiences before?
What existing skills and knowledge do they have?
