People with sz have deficits in memory, attention and perception
What is the cognitive biases approach to Sz?
People with Sz have a deviation in judgement in which illogical inferences are made about people.
How does the psychodynamic approach explain sz?
Regression to the pre-ego stage (no sense of self) with efforts (symptoms) to re-establish control; schizophrenogenic mothers.
How does Lacanian psychoanalysis treat Sz?
Acceptance of the individual’s perception of reality and working towards a productive belief system within their ‘world’
