May continue to 1000’ AAL but missed approach must be initiated by 1000’ AAL unless RVR increases to at or above minimum

When RVR is not available?
A
Reported visibility shall be used. Factoring of reported visibility to obtain an equivalent RVR is not permitted for an approach.

RVR falls below minimum when aircraft is already below 1000’ AAL?
A
Commander may continue approach to published minima.

Runway condition?
A
Commander shall not commence an approach (continue below 1000’ AAL) unless satisfied that the runway surface condition indicates a safe landing.
