How Apportionment Works
A
When spouses purchase property with part SP and part CP, property will be apportioned, pro rata, according to the funds used
Portion of SP is in direct proportion to the SP contribution toward purchase price
If property increases in value during the marriage, the increase is also apportioned according to proportions of the contributions toward the purchase price
