Complications of Appendicectomy

A

WRAP IF HOT:

  • Wound infection
  • Respiratory (atelectasis, pneumonia)
  • Abscess (pelvic)
  • Portal pyemia
  • Ileus (paralytic)
  • Fecal fistula
  • Hernia (r. inguinal)
  • Obstruction (intestinal due to adhesions)
  • Thrombus (DVT)
