known as pure Aryan master race / anti-Semitism - Hitler renamed his party the National Socialist German Worker’s Party
(NSDAP or Nazi Party) in 1920 - The promises & ideology of the party made Hitler very popular
- “25 points” – promised to abolish the TOV & restore Germany’s greatness
- Greater Germany – to unite all German –speaking people
Creation of a strong central government - Solve economic problems and unemployment
- Superiority of the Aryan race (minus minorities esp. JEWS)

- Charismatic, prepared and practiced his speeches
- Made 3-4 speeches daily with an incredible level of energy
- Aware of how people felt and able to address people’s concerns very
sincerely - Used communist and Jews as scapegoats
- Promised to revive Germany’s former glory
- Promised to overturn the TOV and restore German’s border
- Mein Kampf book was written when Hitler was in prison, in this book
he shared his views which resonated with many Germans
