Apparatus And Bunsen Burner Flashcards
Bunsen burner
Used to heat substances during oxperiments, providing a controllable flame for heating cremicals, sterilizing equipment and more.
Ring stand
Provide support for other apparatus like clamps, iron rings, or utility clamps during experiments.
Iron ring
Attaches to a ring stand and is used to support equipment like funnels, wire gauze, or beakers above heat source.
Tripod
A three-legged stand used to support glassware above a bunsen burner or other heat source.
Wire Gauze
to diffuse the heat, helping protect the glassware
Utility Clamp
Used to hold test tubes, flasks, or other equipment in place on a ring stand during experiments
Crucible Tongs
Used to safely handle hot crucibles, evaporating dishes, or other hot objects.
Test tube holder
Hold test tubes, especially when they are being heated or contain dangerous chemicals.
Test tube brush
cleans the inside of test tubes and other narrow glass ware.
Test tubes
used to hold, mix, or heat small quantities of liquid chemicals during experiments.
Beaker
A simple container for stiring, mixing, and treating liquids, often used to measure approximate volumes.
Erlenmeyer flask
A conical flask used to told liquids, mix them, and sometimes to heat them, its narrow neck prevents splashes.
Graduated Cylinder
used to measure precise volumes of liquids.
Filter funnel
Used to pour liquids into containers with, small openings and for seperating solids from liquid via filtration.
Watch glass
A shallow glass dish used as a surface to evaporate liauids, hold solids while being weighed, or as a cover for beakers.
