refers to language that describes concepts rather than concrete images.
allegory
an extented narrative inprove or verse in which characters, events and settings represent abstract quallities and in which th ewriter intends a second meaning to be read beneath the surface of the story.

Exposition
The immediate revelation to the audience of the setting and other background information necessary for understanding the plot; also explanation one of for modes of discourse.
Generization
when a writter bases a clainm upon an isolated example or exerpt that a claim is certain rather than preobable.
Genre
type of literary work or sub genre such as science fiction
