APE and Cardiac Ischemia Flashcards
indications for APE
moderate to severe respiratory distress
AND
suspected acute pulmonary edema
conditions for APE nitro
age >= 18
HR= 60-159
SBP = Normotension
Contraindications for APE nitro
1) allergy or sensitivity to nitrates
2) phosphodiesterase inhibitor use within the previous 48 hr
3) SBP drops by 1/3 or more of its initial value after nitro is administered
treatment for APE nitro
A) >=100-<140 SBP must have history, 0.4mg, Q 5min, 6 max dose
B) >=140mmHg no history 0.4mg, Q5min, 6 max dose
C) >=140mmHg, history of nitro, Q5 min, 6 max dose
history means
patient with prior history of nitro use
can you combine the ischemic directive with APE directive
NO
indications for cardiac ischemia
