Educational Testing Services. Similar to the College Board, they run official tests for education at a college or highschool level.

How does APCSA differ from APCSP?
APCSA is Java based, principles covers more topics at an introductory level in the CS world, CSA covers Java in depth and coding concepts more closely.
Are there any prerequisites for APCSP?
At CRHS, Algebra is required before taking APCSP.
What mathematical concepts are important to success in APCSP?
Basic math and understanding equations and algebra are important.
What is the designated programming language for APCSA and APCSP?
Java for CSA and theres no set language for CSP (at CRHS we use python)

The multiple choice has 120 minutes allowed on the day of the test. The CPT needs at least 12 hours of class time to be completed.

The multiple choice cover the 5 big ideas. 57 single select multiple choice. 5 single select with a reading passage about a computing innovation. 8 multi select multiple choice where there coulf be 2 or more answers per question.
What is the name of the performance task?

Briefly describe the Performance Task
The student will develop a computer program of their choice for submission to College Board. It must follow the requirements in the rubric.
How much class time is allotted for the performance task?
12 hours of in class time(more than 15 says in CRHS class days)
If you don’t sign up for the AP exam, will the performance task still be required for you to pass the class on campus?
Yes
In what coding language is the APCSP multiple choice exam written?
No specific real coding language, it is written in a AP College Board “Pseudocode” instead
What is a passing score on the AP Exam for Principles?
At least a 3.
