- sphere shaped applicator is placed in surgical cavity
- 20Gy in 1# with 5-7Gy at 1cm
- breast tissue sututered after
8
Q
What are the limitations with TARGIT?

- require specialised techniques and equipment and high level of clinical expertise
- limited pathological information at time re margins and nodal
- not suitable for large irregular cavities

Q
What is ELIOT?
A
- Electron applicator connected to dedicated linac
- 1# of 21Gy using 3-10MeV
- limitations same as TARGIT
10
