Bandwagon
Is a persuasive technique and a type of propaganda through which writers persuade his readers so the majority agree with the writer.
Propaganda Transfer
Appeals to a persons imagination of something we like or trust.
Propaganda-Glittering Generality
Virtue words or glittering generality. these words are used to dupe us into accepting and approving of things without examining evidence.
Propaganda Testimonial
Represents propoganda that fits into a particular catagory of its own. This is used to convience us using facts
Propaganda Plain Folks
Is used by a speaker to convience an audience that an idea is good because they are the same ideas of the majority.
Propaganda Distortion of Data
Distortion of data to convience the audience using select format not presented in the complete story.
Propaganda Testimonal
When someone in high standing supports an idea.
Propaganda Scapegoat
This is often used by guilt and assoc. to deflect scrutiny away from the issues. It transfers blame to one person or group of people without investigtiong the issue.
Propaganda Artificial Dichotomy
This is when someone tries to claim there are only two sides to an issue and that both sides must have a equal presentation in order to be evaluated. This is used to dupe us into beliveing there is only one way to look at an issue when in fact there is more than one side.
Propaganda Deification
When an idea is made to appear holy,sacred, or very special and above the law.
Conceit
Developes a comparison which is very unlikely but is none the less intellectually imaginative. A comparison turns into a conceit when the writer tries to make us admit a similarity between two things.
Claim
there are three types of claim tht include value,policy, and factual claims. It attempts to persuade you to disapprove or approve of something.
Catharisis
Is a emotional discharger through which one can chive a state of moral or spiritual renewl or achive a state of libration from anxiety and stress. Cleanses of emotions.
Cliche
Refers to an expression that has been overused to the extent that it looses orginal meaning. May also refer to actions and events which are predictable because of previous events.
Concession
A literary device used in arhumenatitive writing where one acknowladges a point made by ones opponent. It is not a counterargument but an extension of where writter attempts to find common ground.
