arithmetic (# of people/land area)
physiological ( # of people / arable land) and agricultural ( # of farmer / arable land)
What factors affect population distribution?
Elevation, Water, Climate, Culture, Economic Development, and Disease
What is the dependency ratio?
the number of dependents in a population that each 100 working age people will need to support.
How does a large elderly dependency ratio effect a country?
It shows that the country has an aging population. There will be a focus on health care and senior homes for these people. We are seeing this in a lot of developed countries.
What is the demographic most likely to migrate?
Young single men. Normally for better job opportunities
What are some trends in death rates?
A better standard of living will decrease death rates.
Wars, famine, natural disaters will cause an increase.
This can contribute to CDR and IMR

In stages 1 and 2 it is high, then it has a sharp decreases in stage three and steadliy declines through stages 4 and 5
