Commercial Hotel
Any place or places with pleasant environment and atmosphere conducive to comfort, healthful relaxation and rest, offering food, sleeping accommodation and recreational facilities to the public for a fee or remuneration.
caters primarily to leisure travelers.
It is generally found in 4 environments: at beaches, near ski areas, in the desert, near (or even in) theme parks and attractions and usually have activities for recreation such as swimming pool, golf course, tennis court,
etc.
Resort
is also known as Corporate Hotel.
It caters to business travelers’ needs and typically includes a business center where visitors may print papers, make
photocopies, organize package deliveries, and so on. They are often found in metropolitan centers, “business parks,” and airports.
A Convention or Meeting hotel features a big ballroom and several meeting rooms that can accommodate groups of any
size.
Commercial hotel
Generally located in the heart of city within a short distance from business center, shopping arcade. Rates are normally high due to their location advantages. They have high traffic on weekdays and the occupancy is generally high. Example: City garden suite
City center/Downtown
They are located primarily on highways, they provide lodging to highway travelers and also provide ample parking space. The length of stay is usually overnight. Example: Sogo
Motels
They are located in suburban areas, it generally have high traffic on weekend. It is ideal for budget travelers. In this type of hotel rates are moderately low. Ex. Waterfront insular hotel Davao
These hotels are located in the outskirts of cities, moderately priced and are of mostly medium or small size.
These hotels are also preferred by people who do not want to stay in the heart of city as they want to be away from hustle and bustle of city.
Suburban Hotels
These hotels are set up near by the airport. They have transit guest who stay over between flights.
