A primary victims…

Definition
A single traumatic event which case a recognised psychiatric illness as droned under DS4M
Secondary victims…
… Present at the scene or the immediate aftermath, is in fear for someone they have a close tie of love and affection with and has seen or heard the event with their unaided senses and suffers a psychiatric illness
Bystanders must
Be of reasonable phlegm and fortitude
Are unlikely to with a claim
Non professional Rescuers
Non professionals are likely to win due to the policy reasons of encouragement - others should do the same.
Professional rescuers
Very unlikely to win a claim. Have systems in place to help deal with NS such as early retirement, and access to therapy should they need it
Rescuers must
Prove they are either a genuine SV or PV.
A close tie of love and affections is
Difficult to prove, but is presumed in spousal and parental relationships.
