- Sodium salicylate-1gm ( principle )
- Sodium bicarbonate-1gm ( systemic antacid)
- Extract of glycerhiza liquid-1ml
- Syrup simplex- 1ml ( flavouring purpose - conc sugar )
- Aqua - upto 30 ml

Calculation for 4 doses for antipyretic preparation?
- Sodium salicylate : 4gm
- Sodium bicarbonate : 4gm
- Extract of glycerhiza liquid : 4ml
- Syrup simplex : 4ml
- Aqua :120ml
Procedure for antipyretic preparation?
Weigh 4 gm sodium salicylate, 4 gm of sodium bicarbonate and place it in a measuring cylinder.Then 60 ml of water is added and mixed. Then 4ml of glycerhiza liquid extract and 4ml syrup simplex is added and everything is mixed with the help of glass rod. Then further water is added upto 120 ml mark. The transfer to a dispensing bottle and properly labelled.
Direction of use of antipyretic mixture?
1 dose to be taken 4 times daily after meals
