Acute psychotic episode in schizophrenia By mouth (adult): 400–800 mg daily in 2 divided doses, adjusted according to response; maximum 1.2 g per day.
Schizophrenia with predominantly negative symptoms By mouth (adult): 50–300 mg daily

Clozapine uses
A
- Clozapine is used to treat schizophrenia in patients who are intolerant or unresponsive to other pharmaceutical interventions.
- Also used to reduce the risk of suicidal behaviour in people with schizophrenia or similar disorders.

What’s the dosage when restarting clozapine after an interval of more than 48 hours?
A
If restarting clozapine after more than a 48 hour interval, take 12.5 mg once or twice on first day (but can be increased more quickly than on initiation)
