Q

What is the difference between antiseptics ending in cidal/ static?

A

Cidal - denature proteins, cause osmotic disruption of the cell. KILLS CELLS.

Static - Interfere with specific metabolic processes - SLOWS DOWN ORGANISM SO IT CANNOT GROW.
