Amoxicilina
Classification: Aminopenicillin, Beta-lactam antibiotic
Targets:
❑Gram + Cocci (similar to penicilling G)
❑Gram – aerobes: salmonella, shigella, E.Coli, Proteus, H. Influenza
❑Anaerobes (similar to penicillin G)
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to amoxicillin or other Beta-lactam antibiotic
❑Food does not interfere with the absorption
❑Less active for shigelosis than ampicillin.
Ampicilina
❑Classification: Aminopenicillin, Beta-lactam antibiotic
❑Targets:
❑Gram + Cocci
❑Gram + rods
❑Gram – aerobes: salmonella, shigella, E.Coli, Proteus, H. Influenza
❑Contraindications: hypersensitivity to Beta-lactam antibiotic
❑Side effects: diarrea, nausea and vomiting, skin rashes
