To stop Polyneices and Eteocles from fighting (brothers)
What was the result of the battle between the two brothers?
They ended up killing one another and Creon is now king
Why doesn’t Creon want Polyneices’ body to be buried?
So that it may be disgraced by the birds and animals. Creon supported Eteocles in war, he considered Polyneices a traitor to Thebes
