That the body was, like the Nile, full of channels and when blocked you became ill.

They believed it was important for staying health.
What were the supernatural beliefs of the Egyptians?
Gods could cure diseases and drugs including opium which is used today drove spirits away.
How did the Egyptians preserve bodies and why?
They thought that the bodies were needed in the after life and they mummified them.
How did they prepare for mummification?
They extracted soft organs such as the brain and the intestines and dried the remaining with salt.
What did mummification give Egyptians knowledge of?
Anatomy.
What were the Egyptians first to have?
Doctors.
In what way was cleanliness valued?
Egyptians bathed, had toilets and changed their clothing regularly.
