Antidepressant Contraindications

A

Not for pts with hypersensitivity
Not for pts in acute recovery phase of MIs
Not for pts w/ angle-closure glaucoma
* INCREASE RISK FOR SUICIDE IN CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
Caution if hepatic, renal, or cardia insufficiency, history of seizures, & prostatic hypertrophy
RN be alert of sudden lifts in mood (as depression decreases, suicide potential increases)
