Metronidazole/Tinidazole: MOA, uses, AEs
MOA: unionized drug taken up by anaerobic organisms and cells –> reduced to active form –> disrupts DNA helical structure
Uses: trichomoniasis or BV or Cervicitis (recurrent)
AE: xIn pregnancy or breastfeeding, GI upset, candidiasis,
