What are the common pathogens associated with perforated viscous/abdominal abscess?
Ecoli, klebsiella, enterococcus, h pylori, b fragilis, clostridium
What are the common pathogens of UTI?
Ecoli, proteus, gonnorhea
How do you diagnose TB?
CXR, PPD or interferon gamma release assay (IGRA)
Note: a negative PPD or IGRA does not rule out TB
3 Acid fast bacilli sputum cx 8-24hrs apart with one in the morning
1 cx must be sent for nucleic amplification NAA
