Sit or lie down Place under tongue Wait 5 minutes If pain persists, call 911 & take another Wait 5 minutes If pain persists, take one last tab. DONT TAKE MORE THAN 3!!!
Isosorbide Mononitrate teaching
Don’t crush! (delayed release)
Only lasts 12 hrs
Must have “nitrate-free interval” (take in AM)
Improves exercise tolerance
What to do if you have a Heart Attack while taking?
