What is anti semitism ?
Hatred of jews because of their beliefs of race
Name 3 examples of the experience the jews had?
1.- in France 1348 the jews were accused of poisining the wells during the black death and because of this they were burned to death.
2. In 1885 they were blamed for a ruined harvest and the starvation that was caused. They were told to get out of the village.
3. Overtime jews became better at trade,banking and moneylending. People became jealous of this .
What is a scapegoat?
A person who is blamed or accused of other peoples problems
Where were jews forced to live in because of the blame they got?
Ghettos
What is a Ghetto?
A poor urban area occupied by jews
What is anti judaism?
Discrimination against the religion
What was the holocaust?
The mass killing of jews which we call genocide
What is genocide?
The act of destroying a whole or small part of a national , racial or religous group

Between 1933 and 1939
How many jews were killed during the holocaust?
Six million
Who were the other groups that faced discrimination in world war 2 ?
Gypsies also known as the Roma and sinti people. 500,000 were murdered.
