ADE Chloroquine?
Toxic to eyes (binds to melanin), Ototoxic, Peripheral neuropathy.
(Skin, Hair, Blood, Eyes)
ADE Quinine?
Cinchonism (Tinnitus, blurred vision, hearing loss), Cardiodepression, Uterine contraction
ADE Quinidine Gluconate?
Anti-cholinergic effects
ADE Mefloquine?
Vertigo, visual disturbances, Nightmares, Contraindicated with beta-blockers, seizures
ADE Lumefantrine?
Increased QT interval, CYP3A4 interactions
ADE Artemisinins?
Brain, Liver, Marrow, Fetus.
ADE Primaquine?
G6PD, Methemaglobinemia
ADE Pyramethamine?
Rash, Marrow suppression, Megaloblastic anemia.
ADE Bendazoles?
Teratogenic
ADE Pyrantel pamoate?
No significant ADEs
ADE Ivermectin?
Pruritis, Dizziness, +/- allergic reaction to dying worms
Diethylcarbamazine ADE?
Host reaction to dying bugs
Praziquantel ADE?
Contraindicated in ocular schistomiasis
