Digoxin

A

MOA: Inhibits Na+/K+ ATPase –> increased intracellular Ca2+ –> increased contractility.

Clinical uses: CHF, atrial tachycardias

Toxicity: Arrhythmias, visual disturbances

Carefully monitor w/ anti-coagulatns

MOA: Inhibit Na+ Channels

Treats: Atrial and ventricular tachycardias

Toxicity: Arrhythmias, hypersensitivity reactions - drug induced SLE

DDIs (drug-drug interaction) with proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole and esomeprazole).
