- circumstantialist: the idea that conflict is due to the information that is given to people, conflict is not inevitable

3 stages of passage
- seperation
- liminality

changing from something you ounce were into something new

limbo stage between transition, when you are not what you were before, but not what you will be either
re-incorperation
finally stage, grants a new status
temporary liminality
between last day of school and graduation
permanent liminality
loosing a job and looking for a new one, “permanent” because there is no end date
