What is the insertion of the tibialis anterior?
Deep fibular n. L4,L5
What is the action of the tibialis anterior?
Talocrural joint: dorsiflexion
Subtalar Joint: inversion (supination)
what is the origin of the extensor hallucis longus?
Fibula (middle third of the medial surface)
interosseous membrane
what is the insertion of the extensor hallucis longus?
1st toe (at the dorsal aponeurosis and the base of its distal phalynx)
what is the innervation of the extensor hallucis longus?
Deep fibular n. L4-L5
what is the action of the extensor hallucis longus?
talocrural joint: dorsiflexion
subtalar joint: active in both eversion and inversion (proation / supination), depending on the initial position of the foot
Extends the MTP and IP joints of the big toe
what is the origin of the extensor digitorum longus?
fibula (head and medial surface)
Tibia (lateral condyle)
interosseous membrane
What is the insertion of the extensor digitroum longuss?

what is the insertion of the extensor digitorum longus?
deep fibular n. L4-L5
what is the action of the extensor digitorum longus?
talocrural joint: dorsiflexion
subtalar joint: eversion (pronation)
extends the MTP and IP joints of the 2nd to the 5th toes
what is the origin of the extensor digitorum brevis?
calcaneus (dorsal surface)
what is the insertion of the extensor digitorum brevis?
2nd-4th toes (at dorsal aponeuroses and bases of the middle phalanges)
what is the innervation of the extensor digitorum brevis?
deep fibular n. L5, S1
what is the action of the extensor digitorum brevis?
extension of the MTP and PIP joints of the 2nd to 4th toes
