16 weeks:
visit GP for general wellbeing check up
20-22 weeks

Foetal anatomy scan
24 weeks:

Screen for early onset pre-eclampsia
28 weeks:

1. Fetal growth assessment
2. Gestational diabetes screen if required
3. Repeat RBC alloantibody screen if Rh negative and for routine anti-D (prevention of Rh sensitization)
4. book antenatal education classes
30 weeks:

BP/urinalysis/general review/ vaccination
32 weeks

Evaluation of fetal growth

Alternating weekly from 36 weeks

Booking visit lab tests:
Standard:
FBC, blood group and red cell alloantibody screen, rubella IgG, syphillis, HIV, Hep B, Varicella zoster IgG, screening for fetal aneuploidy discussed
For select patients:
Haemoglobin electrophoresis for certain ethnicities at risk for thallassaemia/ sickle cell disease
Hepatitis C
Thyroid function tests if personal history/ family history of thyroid disease
Fetal aneuploidy screening if patient opts for same
Parvovirus IgG if high risk/ epidemic (e.g. creche worker)
Toxoplasmosis IgG if high risk
