A

more complete mixing, reliable ↑gastric pH, 15-30 ml 15-30 min prior
● MOA: neutralizes acid from gastric contents
● Contraindications: renal dz
Mg = laxative; Al = ↓Ph, ↓Mg, ↑Ca; Ca = ↓Ph, ↑Ca, acid rebound, constipation, gas, met
acid, milk alkali syndrome (↑Ca, ↑BUN/Cr, alkalosis)
