Annex E Flashcards
Table 1 purpose
Table one, crew defense, is a 1/10 scaled, 1/2 scaled, or full scale crew table designed to evaluate the crew’s ability to engage and destroy stationary and moving threat targets in both single and multiple engagements from stationary position during the day and night. The Agts can be used to accompany this site
Table 1 task
Engage and destroy stationary and moving targets from a stationary position during the day and night
Table 1 condition
Given an operational Agts or LAV-25 in a stationary position and a suitable engagement area with sensor equipped thermalized targets, engage and destroy stationary and moving targets. During stadia engagements, The Gunner will not use the ELRF
Table 1 standard
During the day and night, the crew must achieve a minimum of a P rating on 7 of 10 engagements with 1 of 7 being a cbrn engagement all engagements will be repeated at night
Table 1 allowable variations
When moving targets are unavailable they can be replaced with stationary frontal targets
This table may be fired using full caliber ammunition if available in the units ammunition allocation to ensure lab-25 fire control systems are operational before full caliber qualification
This table can be modified to suit the needs of the unit based off the commanders intent
Table 2 purpose
Is a 1/10 scaled, 1/2 scale or full scale crew table designed to evaluate the crews ability to function as a unit, and the gunner’s ability to use both precision and battlesight aiming procedures on threat targets the Agts can be used to accomplish this table
Table 2 task
Engage and destroy stationary and moving targets from a stationary and moving lav during the day and night
Table 2 conditions
The crew is given a fully operational Agts or lav and a suitable maneuver and engagement area with sensor equipped thermalized targets in accordance with tc 25-8 during stadia engagements the Gunner will not use the ELRF
Table 2 Standards
The crew must achieve a minimum of a p rating on 9 out of 12 engagements with 1 out of the 9 being a cbrn engagement and 3 of the 9 being night engagements
Table 3 purpose
Table 3 is a full caliber gunnery table fired on a full scale range designed to reinforce the proper use of the it’s during the day and night engagements the use of the it’s wide and narrow field of view reticle aiming procedures are drilled during this exercise and are combined with direct fire adjustment techniques in preparation for crew qualification crew duties are evaluated and critiqued after each firing evolution
Table 3 task
Engage and destroy stationary targets from a stationary and moving lav during the day and night using the ITSS
Table 3 condition
Given an lav authorized allocation of ammunition suitable live fire range with thermalized targets as per tc25-8 during stadia engagements the Gunner will not use the ELRF
Table 3 standards
The crew must achieve a minimum of a P rating on 7 of 9 engagements with 1 being a cbrn engagement and 2 of 7 being night engagements
Task 4 purpose
Table 4 is a full caliber gunnery table fired on a full scale range designed to reinforce the proper use of the itss during the day and night engagements the use of the it’s wide and narrow field of view reticle aiming procedures are drilled during this exercise and are combined with direct fire adjustment techniques in preparation for crew qualification crew duties are evaluated and critiqued after each firing evolution
Table 4 task
Engage and destroy stationary and moving targets from a stationary and moving lav during the day and night
Table 4 conditions
The crew is given an lav authorized allocation of ammunition and a suitable live fire range with thermalized targets in accordance with tc 25-8
Table 4 standard
The crew must achieve a minimum of a P rating on 7 out of 9 engagements with 1 out of the 7 being a cbrn engagement and 2 out of the 7 being night engagements
Table 4 allowable variations
If ammunition constraints do not allow firing the tables as specified use available ammunition and change target type and range to conform to ammunition used
When moving targets are not available they can be replaced with a stationary frontal target
Friendly non combatant targets can be added to any task on this table according to the unit commanders intent
Table 5 purpose
Table 5 is a full caliber gunnery table fired on a full scale range and is designed to serve as the 25mm prequalification table table v evaluated the crews ability to engage targets placed in a realistic threat array tasks from tables 3 and 4 are combined in this table for prequalification in preparation for crew qualification crew duties are evaluated and critiques which affect the crews overall rating
Table 5 task
Engage and destroy stationary and moving targets from a stationary and moving lav during the day and night
Table 5 conditions
The crew is given an authorized allocation of ammunition suitable live fire range with thermalized targets in accordance with tc25-8 during stadia engagements the Gunner will not use the ELRF
Table 5 standards
The crew must achieve a minimum of of a P rating on 7 of 9 engagements with 1 of 7 being a cbrn engagement and 2 of 7 being night engagements
Table 7 and 8 task
The task for each table is the same conduct a reconnaissance and or security mission and acquire report and employ accurate direct and indirect fire to engage targets in a tactical array
Table 7 and 8 conditions
As part of a platoon the section uses reconnaissance and engagements techniques against threat targets
Table 7 and 8 standards
Engagement time standards are listed on table 10-1 on page 10-2 and hit rate is evaluated with table 10-2 on page 10-4 evaluation of tactical and gunnery tasks is accomplished with checklists
X-1 task
Employ direct fire adjustment techniques against stationary and moving targets
X-1 conditions
Using the M240 as the sun caliber device adjust fire from a first bust miss tasks are fired from a stationary lav against both stationary and moving targets using tracer ammunition
X-1 standards
The crew members will use the correct adjustment techniques and hit the target with the second burst to meet the minimum standards the crew members must receive a go on each firing task to receive a go on sustainment firing table x-1
X-2 task
Engage single and multiple vehicle and infantry targets
X-2 conditions
The exercise is conducted in mop 4 from both stationary and moving vehicle during the day and night
X-2 standards
The crew must achieve a minimum of a P rating on seven of nine engagements and two of the seven being night engagements
What’s exercise 1
Agts long range training
Exercise 2 task
Engage five targets per phase
Exercise 2 conditions
Given one shot per target with the VAD targets must be thermalized in accordance with TC25-8
Exercise 2 Standards
Hit 4 of 5 targets within 15 seconds per phase
Exercise 3 battlesight gunnery manipulation task
Engage ten targets
Exercise 3 condition
Given one shot per target with the VAD engage targets in numerical order starting from the zero circle
Exercise 3 standards
Hit 4 of 5 he targets within the center mass circle and 4 of 5 palms targets within the 6 o clock circle within 30 seconds in order to receive a go on exercise 3
Exercise 5 task
Acquire and identify single and multiple vehicles and infantry targets
Exercise 5 conditions
From a stationary and moving lav using available optics and search techniques
Exercise 5 standard
Can be conducted on a 1/2 scale range at the commanders discretion all targets must be accurate in scale and appearance frontal or flank targets maybe be used at commanders discretion exercise 5 can be modified to suit unit training needs identified in training analysis
