Q

Phylum Annelida

A

-Segmented words
Found in most environments. First organism with blood, can carry food, oxygen, and waste. has dorsal brain (on top of the body), main nerve port is on the bottom (ventral).

Leeches get rid of blood clots and reduce swelling. also has an anesthetic. saliva is used for blood thinners. (Antiquadulent)

Earth warm- makes topsoil, eat leaf debris turns it into nutrients. makes tunnels that allows water to drip down to deep roots.

Phylum Mollusca

A

Soften bodied mollusk
second most diverse, don’t show segmentation anymore. Clams, snails, octopi, squid, and cuttlefish. Found in water. Have an open circulatory system, where the blood isn’t always in vessels. The smartest invertebrates.

food source, Bivalves (clams) can be a good water quality indicator. People like to sell shells and pearls. Snails and slugs can be pests, and they are hosts of flukes.
