What makes animals and humans different?
Humans are thought of as superior, sentient beings.
Animals are believed to have no souls.
Explain the different measures taken to protect endangered species.
Zoos:
Advantages: Protects animals from hunting and forms of harm. Breeding programs.
Disadvantages: takes animals from their natural habitat. Is unnatural and some animals are treated badly in zoos.
Positive uses of animals.
Companions, transport, work, scientific research.
Define factory farming and religious views on it.
Cruel, cheaper way of farming live stock for food. Cramped conditions, etc.
Bad stewardship - cruel slaughter methods and conditions.
Define free range farming and religious views on it.
Animals given more open space when farming.
Given good quality of life. Good stewardship.
Why do people choose to be vegetarian?
Cruelty to animals, allergies, religion, family lifestyle.
