A
The better a 3rd party does the more it hurts a party with the same nature (ending with the party people don’t like winning)

A
Single Transferable Vote

How does STV work
A
- Citizens rank candidates
- If anyone is above the winning line the unused votes go to there next vote (if not skip this step)
- last place parties are eliminated and their votes go to their next choice
- Do this until all the seats are filled

How does “Alternate Vote” work
A
- people rank the people they like from their favorite to least favorite (till you don’t wanna rank anymore)
- if your 1st vote gets eliminated, it goes to your 2nd choice
