Using symbols to represent a concept or event. The whole text is a symbol for something deeper.
Ex: Animal Farm is an allegory for the Russian Revolution.

Possessing an extraordinary ability to attract or charm; inspiring devotion from followers.
complicit, adj.
involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing; to help someone commit a crime.

The placement of two things (ideas, events) next to one another to emphasize the difference between them.
