The animals were made to feel crazy when the rules kept changing
Boxer gets taken to the knackers after being told about retirement and the pigs use the money to buy alcohol.

Boxer works to hard he falls and as a result is sent to the knackers
Animals worked most days while the pigs did not and they carried whips
Loyalty
Boxer was very loyal to Napoleon “Napoleon is always right”
All the animals showed loyalty but it was mainly out of fear. “No one dared speak his mind”
Power and Corruption
Manipulation of power. Propaganda through squealer. Relationship with the neighbouring farms
Leadership and Control
Napoleon always had the final say in what happened on the animal farm. Drives snowball out
Ignorance
“Much of this work was a kind that the other animals were to ignorant to understand.” Squealers propaganda
