The civil war between the Bolshevik red army and the white army (supporters of the Tsar) The red army won.
This lead to the creation of the soviet union and congress of soviets was formed however there was only one political party allowed, the communist party.
What does the struggle for power between Snowball and Napoleon in chapter 5 represent?
The struggle for power within the Communist party between secretary stalin and war commissioner Trotsky.
How do Napoleon and Snowblls ideals link to the ideals of Stalin and Trotsky?
Trotsky wanted world evolution whereas Stalin wanted power for russia before any attempt to spread revolution
How does Snowballs exile in chapter link to that of Trotskys’?
Stalin sabotaged Trotsky as he used his position as secretary to put all of his supporters on the central committee and told trotsky the wrong date of Lenin’s funeral.
This lead to Stalin becoming leader in 1924 and the first thing he did was exile Trotsky and have him assasinated

Stalin removed any original Bolsheviks from the communist party as he thought they might oppose his plans.
In 1934,Stalin ordered anyone who opposed him or didn’t support him to be murdered.
He also made people confess to crimes that they couldn’t possibly have committed.

Everyone was forced to praise Stalin and the newspapers credited him with all of Russias successes
People had to applause when Stalins name was mentioned and children were taught to love Stalin more than themselves.

Stalin betratyed France and England (during World War 2) by allying with Germany however thing soon turn bad between hitler and stalin.
Hitler then betrays Stalin and invades Russia

The strongest of the proletarian (working class) would shift and carry as much as 100 tons of coal a day, Stalin saw this and forced the other workers (who weren’t as strong) to carry just as much otherwise their food and money would be reduced and rationed.
