Due to rising floods the crops were overhydrated and food was scarce.
Also the Romans had just left England making it an easy target for them.
Who were the Anglo-Saxons?
They were many tribes but the biggest ones were the Angles, Saxons and the Jutes.
What did they form?
The formation of England.

Ruling Wessex and defeated several viking raids. Also, he split England into two with the vikings up north. This came to be known as ‘Danelaw’.

A female monarch of Mercia and managed to gain control of Derby and Leicester.
Who is Athelstan and what is he known for?
The grandson of Alfred and defeated the vikings while reclaiming york.
How do we know what Anglo-Saxon England was like?
Via Venerable Bede, a monk and the Anglo-Saxon chronicles and many other sources.
What were the saxon house made out of?
Their homes were made of wood, wattle and daub, and thatched roofs.
What faith did they believe in?
Christianity.
